Little Musketeers is a new fencing club based South East Essex for children aged 5 - 10 year olds. Little Musketeers is run by Sydney 2000 Olympic fencer James Beevers. James, a resident of Leigh-on-Sea in Essex for most of his life, is a 3rd generation of fencer emulating the success of his mother, father and grandfather, who all fenced at international and Olympic level. James started fencing at the age of 8, and has since gone on to win every British National title including being Senior National Champion 4 times. He has represented Great Britain at no less than 16 World Championships and was a member of the British Team at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. Little Musketeers base courses on a system designed in conjunction with the British Fencing Association and other experts to bring SAFE fencing to 5 - 10 year olds. They provide bright coloured foam foils and plastic masks with mesh visors that are safe and yet hard enough to give children the real feel of fencing.
